✧ Artist ✧
Hi! I am Lydia, a very inquisitive artist with a lust for creating all things beautiful and a desire to experiment across artistic mediums.
My art education started with a foundation art studies college course covering all forms of art expression but at this early age I was very enthused with ceramic sculpture.
In my early twenties I was a self employed ceramic artist in the West Midlands, England. With a thirst for further education I attended Montfort University Leicester and gained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Ceramics and Glass that found my new additional love for glass blowing.

After graduation I attended the International Glass School, Brierley Hill to hone those glass making skills which after graduating returned me to DeMontfort University for a one year Artist in Residence position.
The following years I worked as a glassblowing assistant at Isle of Wight Glass Studio and then Aaronson Noon Glass Studio in London. At age 32 I stepped away from hot glass and travelled the World yearning for adventure and soaking in the wonders of this amazing planet, until...
I met Tamarindo, Costa Rica!
♒︎ Home
My heart told me "This, my darling, is Home". And This, my darlings, has been home for nearly 15 years.
Inspired by the tropical paradise with it's wealth of bright colors, creatures and ocean activity. I've also taught Stand Up Paddle Surfing for 12 years! I opened my unique, handmade boutique on the beach where I have created and sold my acrylic artworks on canvas, hand painted clothing designs, fine art canvas prints, custom artworks including human and pet portrait commissions, watercolors and handmade jewelry. My boutique is now a showroom open by appointment only and have my artworks for sale in and around Guanacaste.
